Aubrey "Drake" Graham has come a long way since 2009, when he was paired with a "fake" Air Jordan 5. Over the past 12 years, everyone's favorite "certified lover boy" has received special sneakers of NIKE, Inc. and pushed limited editions of Michael Jordan's signature sneakers. As October kicks off, Toronto's senior ambassador joined the ranks of those lucky enough to receive their own shoe, as the NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra was finally revealed via official images.

Announced in the music video for " Laugh Now Cry Later ", which serves as a Nike commercial, the future shoe was prepared under Drake's NOCTA banner, a division inspired by the nocturnal grind. Although the rapper himself hasn't shared his inspiration behind the model's design, the name of the sneaker reveals some Nike ACG lineage. The midsole, which utilizes the Air Max unit, is coupled with an aggressive tread pattern that is sure to make the journey from any "toe" to a trail seamless. Partially perforated tumbled leather on the upper follows a layered, curving layout along the profiles, evoking the Swoosh designs of the 1990s. NOCTA logos appear on the top of the tongue and on the sock liner, while branding “ G-TEK ” appears on the spine, an outsole technology found on the 1999 Air Terra Humara.
