Nike Air Max Plus Photon Dust Varsity Red

If there's one thing the Nike Air Max Plus is known for, it's gradients. When Sean McDowell was inspired by palm trees during a Florida sunset, who knew what kind of trend he would start? Although it was originally used on the mesh upper, it has since been used in a multitude of ways, including as an effect on the signature vein overlays. Here on this new version, it's used just once on the midfoot upper, leaving each panel, accent, and overlay in a solid color finish.

Anchored in a light gray mesh, gray vein overlays fill the gap between the upper and its black guards, toe box and heel overlays. The same thing happens on the tongue, with white and gray paired with black laces to balance out the upper just below. Hits of Deep Red are introduced at the Swoosh branding, instep upper and Air Supports, and the pair is completed with a Black rubber outsole underfoot.
