Spider-Man : Across the Spider-Verse , likely to be one of the biggest movies of the summer, will finally arrive in theaters in early June. And in anticipation of this premiere, Jordan Brand is once again teaming up with Marvel , this time to create an Air Jordan 1 directly inspired by Miles Morales' journey through the multiverse. Expanding on the design of its predecessor (which was actually a Kirby Dot-covered version of the " Chicago " colorway) the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse x Air Jordan 1 appears to take inspiration from the multiverse itself.

The shoe appears to have been pushed through a rift in space and time, fragmented in almost every part of its construction. While there is a semblance of familiarity, this is quickly thrown out the window as the panels transition from leather to suede and back again, although they are then aged and given a patina-like treatment. Additionally, the Swoosh sports a subtly iridescent finish, while the crow's feet and ankle flaps offer a graphic look that looks straight out of the pages of a comic book.
