And after numerous legendary models and colorways, here is the aptly named LeBron 20, which commemorates both the athlete's 20th year with Nike and his 20th year in the NBA. Making history by being the very first in the collection to be presented as a low-top, the LeBron 20 is a tangible tribute to James's illustrious career.

But despite its nods to the past (which are omnipresent not only in the colorways but also in the very structure of the design), the Lakers Forward asserts that the shoe was designed with the next generation of players in mind. In addition to a carbon fiber midfoot shank, the LeBron 20 is equipped with Zoom Air throughout its lower profile. The forefoot, for starters, is cushioned by a Zoom Air Turbo unit, while the heel opts for a much larger, 13mm-thick Zoom Air unit that improves overall impact protection. The synthetic-wrapped lateral guardrail helps keep the foot in place, while the multidirectional outsole grips the court during play.
