The Nike Kobe 11 “Mambacurial” is almost here with a release date set for September 15, 2016. The original Mambacurial colorway using these head-turning Pink Flash , Action Green and Red Plum hues was originally on the Nike Kobe 8 System inspired by the Nike Mercurial football shoe. This OG release joins a fairly long list of other Nike Kobe 11 Mambacurial offerings, as Nike Basketball will also release the eclectic What The Mambacurial Kobe 11 and another pair inspired by Kobe's love of FC Barcelona. The Nike Kobe 11 Mambacurial ditches the premium Flyknit construction this time around, and instead opts for a breathable Engineered Mesh construction.

Although the pair is a bit cheaper ($160 USD), the construction and aesthetics are far from cheap. Nike abandons the placement of the Swoosh on the forefoot, inspired by Nike football boots, for a traditional side panel with the action green which highlights the branding. The medial side features "Nike" in white, while the translucent Action Green outsole contrasts perfectly with the Pink Flash mesh upper.
