New Balance 993 Joe Freshgoods Performance Art Sage

Since its collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore in November 2022, the New Balance 993 has remained out of the release equation, with the Boston brand focusing on in-line colorways of its silhouette rooted in sneaker heritage . Since then, the scenario has reversed. For his fifth collaborative capsule with the brand, Joe Freshgood's eye for disparate yet ideal color palettes and textiles comes to fruition with the release of his New Balance 993 "Performance Art" collection this week. In keeping with the construction of his 90/60 “Penny Cookie” collab, rich pastels and smooth suedes dominate the pair of silhouettes treated to a respective sampling of jade green and sky blue shades. The laces, midsole and "N" logo lining are finished in salmon pink and the gray mesh base remains the same for both models. Other embellishments adorn the model thanks to the "Made In USA" embroidery on the tongue and the heel counter marked "JFG" which bears a collection of stars at the conclusion.
