As the name suggests, the upcoming Bodega x New Balance 9060 takes us back to the early modern period, during which European nations began to explore the world. Coinciding with the Renaissance, the Age of Discovery (also called the Age of Exploration) began in the 1400s, and expeditions took place well into the 1600s . It was these travels that likely inspired the colorway of Bodega's 9060, its lush blue suede, mesh and packaging evoking the seas themselves. Additionally, the release also pays homage to the art and architecture of the era through the artwork scattered inside and outside the box.
