When it was announced that Chris Gibbs would be working on an Air Jordan 4, many expected a style reminiscent of the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 . Jordan Brand, too, was apparently keen on the idea, as they recently took the trouble to create it themselves. Titled “ Messy Room ,” this GS-exclusive Air Jordan 4 is officially inspired by children’s lack of organization and the messy state their rooms often find themselves in. Similar to the AJ1 mentioned above, this version uses a playful, split design, with light blues comprising the bulk of the front half of the build. White, ribbed textiles adorn the collar, matching the mesh, heel tab and part of the support wings. The rest of the latter is cast in a dark yellow finish, appearing to replace the "UN/LA" label; the tongue is also familiar, as it features the Union spliced pattern. Finally, the lining and outsole feature touches of red, the insole opts for bright, alternating hues, and the back of the tongue displays "AIR JORDAN" in several colors.
