The Nike Air Max Plus One Piece Mera Mera combines the iconic silhouette of the TN with the world of One Piece in an edition directly inspired by the Mera Mera no Mi, the Devil Fruit linked to the power of fire. This variation adopts the official Brilliant Orange / Healing Jade / Kumquat / Vibrant Yellow / Solar Flare / Enamel colorway, a palette dominated by various shades of orange and yellow punctuated by green accents. Nike did not simply apply new colors to the Air Max Plus: the upper has been entirely reworked specifically for this collection to visually translate the identity of the Devil Fruit.
The upper of the Nike Air Max Plus One Piece Mera Mera develops an aesthetic directly linked to flames. Brilliant Orange structures most of the silhouette, while the Kumquat, Vibrant Yellow, and Solar Flare shades create transitions reminiscent of different intensities of fire. Touches of Healing Jade and Enamel provide a green contrast that references the appearance of the Mera Mera no Mi. The craftsmanship of the textures and panels adds depth to the upper and immediately distinguishes this version from a traditional Air Max Plus.
Despite this graphic transformation, the sneaker retains the fundamental codes of the Nike Air Max Plus: streamlined silhouette, dynamic structure, and the visible Air cushioning characteristic of the range. The general architecture remains identifiable as a TN, but the proportions, textures, and graphic elements have been adapted to integrate the One Piece universe. Specific collaboration details complete the design and reinforce the connection to the manga without obscuring the historical identity of the Air Max Plus.
This version pays tribute to the Mera Mera no Mi, a Devil Fruit notably associated with Portgas D. Ace and later Sabo in the story of One Piece. It completes a collection of three Air Max Plus models inspired by the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, and Mera Mera no Mi fruits, respectively. After several regional launches beginning in September 2026, Nike is planning a global release of the collection on SNKRS on September 25, 2026.
With its mix of Brilliant Orange, Vibrant Yellow, and Healing Jade, the Nike Air Max Plus One Piece Mera Mera works particularly well with black pants, wide denim, or gray cargos, naturally allowing the sneaker to become the focal point of the outfit.
