The adidas Yeezy 500 High “Slate” is the first release of the premium version of Kanye West’s famous lifestyle design. Several key elements of the original Yeezy 500 low have been modified on the high silhouette, including the addition of a puffy neoprene base that replaces the mesh previously used. Layers of dark slate gray suede cover the entire upper, with the material appearing most prominently on the toe, mudguard, and heel.

The toes and ankles are covered in premium leather and tonal rope laces sit on the neoprene tongue. The Feet You Wear sole is borrowed from Kobe Bryant's third adidas shoe, and this modification to the upper of the shoe makes the Yeezy 500 model look even more like a basketball shoe.
