Air Jordan 13 Retro Gym Red Flint Grey revisits one of the most recognizable Jordan 13 colorways by replacing the blue accents of the original Flint version with a more expressive Gym Red hue. Referenced as DJ5982-600, this edition adopts the Gym Red/Flint Grey-White-Black color scheme and was released on May 1, 2021. Its design retains the characteristic color-blocking of the Flint while providing a bolder take on the silhouette imagined by Tinker Hatfield.
The upper combines a white leather base with Flint Grey Durabuck panels, notably around the lower part of the silhouette and the collar. However, the most visible detail is the reflective Gym Red mesh that covers the side panels. This textured material incorporates one of the Jordan 13's distinctive elements and gives the pair a reinforced graphic presence, while directly echoing the 1998 Flint colorway.
Several signatures of the original model are preserved. The white tongue features a black embroidered Jumpman, while the famous hologram is positioned on the outer heel. Underfoot, the construction inspired by the panther paw follows the codes of the Jordan 13 with an outsole featuring traction patterns. Zoom Air technology completes the construction to remain faithful to the silhouette's performance heritage.
