Inspired by a 1970 Porsche 917, the upcoming pair features a "Blue Chill/Safety Orange" color palette. The former covers the suede panels on the upper and the mesh tongue, while the latter is almost exclusively isolated on the outsole, which is reminiscent of the Air Jordan 1.
Traditional branding is composed of a black or black-and-white arrangement that recalls the details of the decades-old automobile, but it is eclipsed by the "58" stitched onto the tongue label and lateral heel, a playful nod to the numbers found on race-ready vehicles. Previous Nike SB offerings have featured the two-digit number, but none have fully committed to such a theme.
