Dubbed the “Dear Summer” collection by the Illinois native (and “The 50” by onlookers on social media), the upcoming collaboration is Abloh’s most expansive project with NIKE, Inc. since “The Ten" from 2017, which reinvented 10 silhouettes under the aegis of the North American conglomerate. Previously rumored to be a 20-pair lineup packed with nearly two dozen different colorways, Off-White's latest effort focuses primarily on a Nike Dunk low and livens it up with 48 different colors across the lace, tongue, sock liner, zip tie, lot number and side swoosh underlay.

The shoes numbered “01/50” and “50/50” abandon the white and light gray which invade a large part of the “Dear Summer” collection in favor of respective outfits, rather white and black, rather tone-on-tone. The profile swooshes also indulge in a shimmering metallic silver that offers a stronger statement than the accompanying lots. Abloh hasn't revealed the exact inspiration for his latest collaboration, but those details are sure to arrive in the coming months. What is certain, however, is that "The 50" marks a turning point for Peter Moore's 36-year-old design.
