The Nike Air Max Plus One Piece Gomu Gomu fuses one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes with the world of the One Piece manga. This special edition is directly inspired by the Gomu Gomu no Mi, the famous Devil Fruit associated with Monkey D. Luffy, and translates its appearance through a particularly expressive palette. The official colorway combines Space Purple / Atomic Green / Purple Venom / Altitude Green / Light Lemon Twist / Sport Red, with a purple dominant highlighted by several green accents. Nike has completely reworked the upper of the Air Max Plus for this collaboration to give each version an identity directly linked to the Devil Fruits.
The upper of the Nike Air Max Plus One Piece Gomu Gomu stands out with its raised swirling patterns, designed to recall the spiral surface of the Gomu Gomu no Mi. Purple covers most of the upper, while touches of Atomic Green and Altitude Green appear notably on the laces, tongue, lining, and certain elements of the cage. This combination creates a vivid contrast that visually reproduces the appearance of the Devil Fruit without simply applying a new color blocking to a classic TN.
The silhouette nonetheless retains the immediately identifiable DNA of the Nike Air Max Plus, with its dynamic construction, TPU support elements, and visible Air cushioning underfoot. The model keeps the technical and aggressive look of the TN while integrating graphic work exclusive to the collaboration. One Piece elements appear on the tongue, insoles, and heel, reinforcing the link between the sneaker and the Japanese franchise without masking the characteristic lines of the Air Max Plus.
The project also goes beyond the shoe itself. The pair comes with special Nike x One Piece packaging, decorated with the collaboration logos, the Straw Hat crew’s Jolly Roger, and illustrations inspired by the Gomu Gomu no Mi. This edition is part of a collection featuring three Air Max Plus models based on the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, and Mera Mera no Mi Devil Fruits. The Nike Air Max Plus One Piece Gomu Gomu is announced for release on September 25, 2026, notably via SNKRS in several markets.
With its mix of purple, green, and One Piece details, this Air Max Plus works particularly well with black pants, loose denim, grey cargos, or understated pieces that allow the sneaker to dominate the outfit. Between the completely reworked upper, raised Gomu Gomu patterns, One Piece branding, and TN silhouette, this collaboration offers a particularly advanced interpretation of the manga universe applied to a Nike sneaker.
