Its design fully utilizes the Air Max 95's layered construction to evoke rocks, minerals, and soil strata, creating a version particularly consistent with the model's original organic inspiration.

The upper of the Nike Air Max 95 Unearthed combines mesh and synthetic materials in a multi-layered construction. The signature wavy panels of the Air Max 95 are treated here in various shades of beige, brown, and off-white, ranging from Summit White to Velvet Brown. This layering enhances the pair's visual depth and directly recalls the natural strata visible in rock formations. The white eyelets and laces brighten the upper, while the small embroidered Swoosh near the heel stays true to the silhouette's historical codes.

One of the most interesting details of this version is the different treatment between the inner and outer sides. The lateral side draws more from the colors of rocks and minerals, while the medial side adopts tones inspired by soil. This asymmetrical choice gives the sneaker an unusual visual richness while remaining perfectly consistent with the "Unearthed" theme. Nike actually developed this project based on feedback directly from its sneaker community, reinforcing the experimental approach of this release.

Underfoot, the pair maintains the historical architecture of the Air Max 95 with visible Air units in the heel and forefoot. On this version, the Air bubbles feature a blue tint, providing an unexpected contrast to the earthy tones of the upper and echoing the water found in natural landscapes. The sculpted sole retains the massive, retro-running profile of the model, while ensuring the characteristic cushioning of the Air Max line.
