The Nike Air Max 95 Greedy 2020 revisits one of the most iconic silhouettes in the Air Max line with a deliberately mismatched construction. Released in 2020 under the reference CJ0589-001, this version adopts the official Black / Multi-Color / White colorway. Its concept follows that of the first Air Max 95 "Greedy" launched in 2015: bringing together several historical color references of the Air Max 95 within a single pair. Each shoe thus features a different combination, creating a particularly identifiable asymmetrical look.
The upper retains the layered construction originally designed by Sergio Lozano. The wavy side panels alternate black, white, and various shades of grey, while the outer sides introduce distinct colored accents. The right shoe notably incorporates Neon touches, while the left features blue details. This opposition between the two feet is the heart of the Greedy design and serves to recall several classic colorways without completely transforming the original architecture of the Air Max 95.
The Nike Air Max 95 Greedy 2020 combines leather and suede on its upper, with textile elements completing the construction. The small Swoosh placed toward the rear, the Nike Air branding on the heel, and the integrated lacing system remain faithful to the silhouette's historical codes. The chromatic differences between the two shoes also extend to several details, reinforcing this patchwork aspect without giving the impression of a cluttered design.
Underfoot, the pair retains the visible Nike Air units characteristic of the Air Max 95.
