The Nike Air Max 95 BHM 2020 revisits the silhouette imagined by Sergio Lozano in a particularly graphic version created to celebrate Black History Month 2020. Referenced as CT7435-901, this iteration officially adopts a Multi-Color / Kinetic Green / Photon Dust combination. Its design is inspired by both 1990s streetwear and motifs drawn from African textiles, resulting in an Air Max 95 that is much more expressive than the model's traditional colorways. Released in February 2020, it belongs to a Nike BHM collection featuring several silhouettes revisited around this visual identity.

The upper of the Nike Air Max 95 BHM 2020 deliberately multiplies materials, textures, and colors. Nike notably combines canvas, ripstop, and jersey mesh across the silhouette's various panels. The lateral overlays characteristic of the Air Max 95 thus abandon the traditional monochrome gradient for an asymmetrical construction mixing green, blue, orange, yellow, red, and purple. A translucent plastic material layer also covers certain areas of the shoe and features a tear-away design, allowing its appearance to be modified over time.

One of the model's most distinctive elements is found around the lacing system. The pair incorporates removable and customizable shrouds, with a deliberately different construction between the two shoes. A co-branded marker was also included with the concept to allow for further customization of these elements. The BHM branding appears on the tongue as well as on the insoles, clearly affirming this Air Max 95's place in the Black History Month collection.

Beneath this experimental construction, the pair retains the fundamentals of the Air Max 95. A white midsole balances the multicolor palette of the upper, while the visible Nike Air units in the heel and forefoot recall the silhouette's running DNA. The black reinforcement at the front of the foot also provides a darker base that allows the various colors and materials to stand out more.

With its mix of Kinetic Green, Photon Dust, and multicolor details, the Nike Air Max 95 BHM 2020 is easily worn as the centerpiece of an outfit. Black cargo pants, loose-fitting denim, or an ensemble in neutral tones allow its design to fully express itself. Between its multilayer construction, varied materials, customizable elements, and BHM identity, this version offers one of the most creative interpretations of the Air Max 95 from this period.
