Over the past 11 months, Tinker Hatfield 's iconic 1987 design has been adopted by a handful of different sets. While some harken back to the silhouette's beginnings, others have doubled down on the sneaker's second life as a lifestyle model. The Air Max 1 PRM (read: “Premium”) is the main culprit as it offers a raised construction that further distances the design from its performance origins.

As winter approaches, the luxurious version of the Swoosh from Hatfield 's creation (inspired by the Center Pompidou in Paris) is back in a new color palette. The “White” colored mesh sets the stage for a number of contrasting tones and materials, including “ Pearl White ” leather panels and “ Vast Gray ” fabric overlays. A rich “ Cedar ” hue enlivens everything from the miniature swoosh on the lateral forefoot to the inner lining; the Air Max bubble and sections of the outsole follow suit. Finally, the elevated sneaker features an off-white midsole that allows the components above and below to stand out even more.
