This year, Nike celebrated Air Max Day with the sneaker that started it all: the Air Max 1 . In addition to the return of its OG colorway, the Swoosh has re-equipped the silhouette with the chunky bubble it originally sported in 1986 . And although the fictional holiday is long over, the brand isn't ready to say goodbye to the oversized Air unit just yet, continuing its legacy through not one, but four additional colorways.

Made with the creative help of Kids of Immigrants , who designed a community campaign focused on supporting loved ones, the upcoming capsule will see the Nike Air Max 1 '86 clad in four different colorways, most of which have already been revealed by through official images. Limited to 1,986 pairs in homage to the origins of the icon designed by Tinker Hatfield , the collection includes "Light Armory Blue", "Light Silver", " Smokey Mauve " and the all-new "Dark Team Red".

Although they differ in their respective palette choice, moving away from the look of the OG, all four options include the iconic "Big Bubble" as well as the distressed packaging used for their Air Max Day counterpart.
