Wales Bonner isn't solely responsible for the revival of adidas' Samba , but the menswear brand has played a huge role in bringing the sneaker back into the mainstream. Unveiled on the catwalk last April, the fall-winter 2023 collection from Grace Wales Bonner and adidas Originals will launch on Wednesday, November 8.

Like Grace Wales Bonner's other work, her partnership with the Three Stripes brand continues to explore Afro-Atlantic heritage through sportswear. Two of the three Wales Bonner Sambas feature a luxurious faux pony hair upper, marrying sportswear heritage with high fashion sensibilities. The pairs also feature gum soles, which complement the leopard print, light tan, and black. On the other hand, a fourth adidas Originals model from the British designer opts for a mahogany brown shade which also appears on clothing from the fall-winter 2023 collection. Unlike the Samba OG , which has invaded social networks and city streets over the Over the past three years, Bonner's models feature a long, folded tongue that recalls the shoe's footballing origins.
