It is therefore through a collaboration with the Danish brand GANNI that New Balance wanted to refine the return of the 2002, more than 10 years after the design of the running-inspired model by Andrew Nyssen. Renamed 2002R after its facelift by Tetsuya Shono. it appears here in a subtle combination of off-white and green to discover urgently.
At a time when all fans of New Balance and even more of the 2002R only have eyes for the next editions of the "Protection Pack" , the American equipment manufacturer has joined forces with GANNI designers to help them to wait. And how !

If the 2002R Cream designed by the Copenhagen brand will certainly not be unanimously appreciated, it has the merit of being original and, moreover, eco-responsible , its structure based almost entirely on the combination of recycled materials. First of all, we find a white mesh base decorated with personalized branding for the occasion in flashy green lettering. Cream and white leather overlays complement the upper design, which is appropriately stamped with a perfectly matching side logo. Stitching in a touch of bright green as well as a double tab on the heel finalize the look, almost logically marked with a co-signature on the top of the lace tab. The sole is in the same register as the upper. with a midsole featuring a combination of white and cream with a hint of gray. The outsole has a green coating decorated with a subtle but effective speckle effect.
