The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 Yurt “Emerald Sky” is one of the many colors in the collection of outdoor-inspired shoes created by Salehe Bembury. Released in April 2022, the “Emerald Sky” is one of the multiple colorways of the 574 Yurt created by Bembury as part of its famous collaboration with New Balance. The shoe is a complete remodel of New Balance's iconic 574 silhouette, as it takes on an outdoor look with a unique whistle on the heel that promotes safety and survival while hiking. The base of the shoe is constructed of Emerald Sky colored mesh. Tonal hairy suede overlays appear on the toe, midsole, collar and heel. A reflective "N" logo is found on each side of the shoe. Overall, the look combines elements of New Balance footwear heritage with contemporary style. The New Balance 574 was originally introduced as a trail running shoe in the 1980s , and Salehe Bembury 's take on the model is undoubtedly inspired by its original purpose.
