After months of waiting and first glimpses of upcoming colors, Nike has officially announced the first silhouette that will revive the Kobe Bryant brand during Mamba Day, August 24. Officially revealed during the August 10 SNKRS episode “ Live From the Archive ,” the “ Triple White ” version of the Kobe 8 Protro has since been dubbed the “Halo” colorway (a collection showcased by Vanessa Bryant that will serve as an introduction Kobe Protro models in the years to come). Crisp white hues cover the entire low-top solution, giving an angelic effect to one of Bryant's most beloved signatures.

As for the silhouette's specific technical upgrades, the initial 2012 model's Lunarlon midsole has been replaced with a React foam construction. Constant wearers of the OG pair regularly noted that, while comfortable, the aforementioned cushioning construction wore out easily, losing its bounce. The introduction of the famous React cushioning system to the Kobe line provides a more structured and durable package underfoot.
