Released in 2025, it retains the aggressive silhouette designed by Sean McDowell in 1998 while giving it a much more experimental visual identity. The contrast between the very bright base and the black elements helps preserve the Air Max Plus's characteristic lines despite the multicolored treatment.

The upper rests on a bright yellow mesh base, crossed by green shades and blue gradients that surround the model's iconic wavy lines. These cooler zones create the precise "Heat Map" effect sought by Nike. Black overlays structure the upper, while the mudguard and toe box reinforcement also adopt dark tones. This interplay between fluorescent colors, electric blue, and black gives the sneaker unusual depth and accentuates its retro-futuristic aesthetic.

Underfoot, the Nike Air Max Plus Heat Map retains the technical construction that built the silhouette's reputation. Its polyurethane midsole houses several visible Air units in the forefoot and heel, while a large TPU shank reinforces the midfoot. The cushioning technology associated with the Air Max Plus line contributes as much to comfort as it does to the pair's highly technical appearance. On this version, the Air units feature yellow-green shades that directly extend the thermal theme of the upper.

The design remains faithful to the fundamentals of the Air Max Plus, a silhouette launched in the late 1990s that became an important benchmark in sneaker culture, particularly in Europe. Its wavy lines, imposing sole, and aerodynamic volumes are still present, but the Yellow / Blue / Black palette here gives the model a much more graphic appearance. This combination allows the Heat Map to retain the TN's DNA while clearly distinguishing itself from historical gradient colorways.
